Studying the letter "u" in a series of panels and exploring variations of ways to express it was the driving force of the project. The materials being used were all were derived from the earth; fire, dirt, clay, grass, and more. Accompanying the “u” experiments in these panels was a poem, with sporadic stanzas with meaning to the specific u in the particular panel. The poem was geared towards propaganda.
